I don't have the real thing but I can post a real compliment in that it is a handbuilt imitation. I started with a MGB and stripped the front back to the firewall. I am building custom extensions for the frame rails (horns) and reinforcing the floor. The rear fenders are being stripped as well. The front suspension is a one off with triangulated 4bar and coilover shocks. The rear corners are slowing the project. Rolled edges and matching sides are not my specialty. This is a custom roadster, shortened 4 inches in the middle with the seats moved back.
Its been a slow project. I restored and sold a 53 chevy sedan delivery and my middle daughter got married so things had to stop for a while. Now my wife wants the garage cleaned out so I have to get on the fast track.
Don't flame/dis me for building a wannabee. I am humbled by anyone who has the real thing and my build is a tribute. Hopefully, I will get it to Old Town (central FL) before we move to PEI. I won't be taking it with us.Last edited by MGBrod; 10-07-2007 at 05:23 AM.
