thanks guys , im not looking to skimp on cash , my reason for the question is i dont want to be taken i looked at a price list on the site so now i have a better idea what it cost to do . i have a person lined up to do this i just want to be prepaired for the price ..nothin like hearing those lake pipes roar!!!!

Just a general comment to go along with the flow. When you get ripped on chrome it's more on the quality side than the price side (though it's tough to separate the two). Out here it's gotten to where you can almost bet you'll have to reject the first delivery attempt for scratches, ripples, pits, or "nickle" spots. The bulk of their business must be from price only shoppers where they get away with delivering poor quality.Your Uncle Bob, Senior Geezer Curmudgeon
It's much easier to promise someone a "free" ride on the wagon than to urge them to pull it.

I have heard rodders say that Advance was way too high or that it cost a them a ton of $$$ ... But I have NEVER heard a bad word about the quality ...

I generally pick up an Advance price catalog every year and usually decide that paint is really best for me - I do have to say that their stuff is nicely done, just not sure why I need to spend that amount of money.

There were doing a GREAT business in Knoxville this past weekend ...
I had to wait in line for 20 minutes to give them my parts and get the price ...
