Any Photoshoppers able to help me?
I'd like to see what my car would look like with blackwall tires and black wheels. same hubcaps and rings. If you're "really" good, some narrower back tires would be cool too... thanks in advance to anyone good with this stuff... -JbJoe Barr

Thanks guys... gives me a good idea of what it would look like... Although the blackwalls would be tall skinny bias plies with "piecrust" corners...O'm thinking of buying a second set of wheels/bias tires, and am very undecided as to what sizes to go with... I'm thinking the black wheels and blackwall tires would give me the option of a much different look...I love my red wheels and whitewalls, but black on black has a cool look to it too.Joe Barr

I'm considering several wheel/tire options... would love some input/ideas from anyone as far as sizing goes. Not looking to start a bias vs. radial debate, as i plan to keep the complete set of radials mounted for easy changability... I love the look of bias plys though, and was considering several options. I definitely want skinnier back wheels/tires than the massive 285/70 15s i have in the radials (mounted on 8" wheels) Was thinking of a 820-15 on a 7" wheel out back, with a 560-15 on a 6" wheel up front... 5" would fit the tire better, but the backspacing on a 5" lets my brakes hang out the back of the wheel too much... if i had cool finned buick drums that would be ok, but i'd like to hide my GM discs as much as i can. Firestone Deluxe Champions were the specific model i was looking at, in a blackwall. I also considered moving to a 16", but they seem quite a bit more money than 15", especially when buying wheels and tires both.
This is what i consider the ideal setup as far as wheels/tires go, but I really can't say I even know what sizes these are... ( i think 16 " diameter, but no clue on wheel width/offset or tire size... I just know they look killer.Last edited by joeybsyc; 04-05-2007 at 08:12 PM.

Dang, you's guys are good photoshoppers
You should do this for a living and charge big bucks, except for club members of couse.
Now as a real test, lower the rear of my car 2".

Hey Denny, any chance you could re-photoshop this pic with the same tires, and black wheels, but put wide whites on 'em?Joe Barr

Just wondering. What brand wheels and tires were you planning on putting on?

That rocks Denny... thanks. I'm definitely sold on the idea now... As for ditching the 4 bars for hairpins, that's a project for next winter, along with a SoCal disc brake kit for the front.Joe Barr

LOL Denny........my wife told my last night the reason she won't go bike riding with me (mountain bikes) is she gonna get big in the hind end. I'm still dumbfounded. How do you answer that knowing what good it does for you?.....I still sit here shaking my head.
I saw last night on fb about John. The world sure lost a great one. I'm going to miss his humor, advice, and perspective from another portion of the world. Rest in Peace Johnboy.
