Yeah, have the old radiator bronzed and hang it on the wall.... Nothing is more aggravating then an undependable car, no matter if you're calling it a rat rod or what.... If you're going to drive it, then make it reliable... Engine cooling efficiency, thereby driveability and reliability, will go downhill fast with a non-pressurized cooling system.

I agree with Dave, and since you seem to be one who drivers and enjoys her hotrod.
See you in 13:cool:

Faith,
As another whitebeard, use your orig. rad. as a piece of rememberance art and get a new one. I am sure that someone builds an original looking rad. and besides, 99% of the folks looking at your H/B won't know the differance and the other 1% don't care. I am sure all of us on this site "kringe" at the thought of you not having a dependable hotrod and this, along with the other changes you have done/will do are going to make this happen.

:D
If your Hiboy was a original old Hotrod and the radiator was the original one that came from the FORD factory ... I could understand your attachment to it ... but Walker makes great looking and cooling radiators. Install one and forget about having to take the car apart again because of the radiator.
I have the original 32 Ford radiator ... that came with my Deuce 3W coupe ...

But I would NEVER consider using it ...

Faith, does your fan circuit have a relay in it? If not, be sure to add one when you do your re-wire. That will make the fan work better, save your switch and should solve the fuse blowing problem.
Not meaning to pile on here, but I'll cast another vote for a new radiator and make the original a nice novelty piece. It does strike me as inconsistant to want to insist on an original 32 rad, then stick an electric fan behind it.

Well, jeff just picked up my radiator (you know the WALL PIECE? ) and he said:
"No way this thing is ever leaking again"
Apparently it now looks more like a TANK than a radiator  . I am going to give it one last chance before making any decisions...
Thanks for your inputs and we'll see what happens :).
