I kinda like the off white frame, it set it apart from the more common black or red frame

Me too. Because the Deuce is the most popular of the old coupes and roadsters to build they are out there in every shape, form, combination, and color imagineable... Red frames and wheels with flat black is the latest craze and IMO allready overdone.... Any unique combinations are hard to come up with but do really stand out from the crowd.... Now everyone wants to build a "traditional" Deuce in order to be separate from the "billet and shiny" Deuce crowd.... So I guess we're just going to end up with a whole bunch of both. I still like the Deuce's, don't get me wrong!!!! Just hoping to start seeing a bit more individuality and creativity in the builds......

Wow Bob, you have succeeded in finding what I had no idea how to locate: The pictures of my car when it was put up for sale on ebay ...

The only change I notice, other than the mercedes beige frame (it was paited that way because Eric, who painted it, intended for the wholr roadster to be beige) is the carpetting. I wonder why Lonnie (last owner before me) changed it... The old carpetting seemed better, although perhaps too red?

No matter, I'll be redoing it down the road anyways...

PS: No burn out for me because I am so thoroughly enjoying the car in between repairs and money spent. I know it will be a long time before my list of to do things is all checked marked, but I think it is a good idea to have a game plan as to what need repairs and in what order one will proceed. As I repair and upgrade, the car is becoming mine, we are bonding together and I am giving it my own touch. I wish you guys could see how much better it already drives! BIG difference! And I made that happend!

PS: Bob, do you also have the details of the listing at the time it was on ebay? I would love to see it...

I'm good girl............but not THAT good!

I just happened to have copied those pics back when because I liked the general style of the car, I keep a reference file for stuff like that, but had no interest in the listing text. If either Eric or Lonnie didn't keep a print out it's gone. I think ebay only keeps that stuff filed by listing number for a few months.

Rear shocks? Not criticizing the spelling/typo. Just wasn't sure.

3- doing wheel alignment and balance
Make sure the wheels run true - you'd be surprised at how many steelies are off a touch.
Make sure the tires are round as well.
This gets missed now and then.

You can check both of these at home with the car up in the air and spinning the wheel/tire combo with a pointer (welding rod?) taped to a jackstand.
An out of true wheel or out of round tire is easily seen.

5- redoing the seat cause it is KILLING my back and noone wants to ride with me because of it

    A pic of a mid-90's Soccer Mom Chryco Mini-Van.
The true two passenger seat that normally goes in the middle - as vs the three passenger rear seat that is sometimes found in the middle.
There's quite a bit of discussion about these on the board, within the last 2-3 months I believe.
Main thing is, the seat has excellent ergonomics, fits the car well and is easily adapted.
Later Chryco Mini-Van seats are easier to adapt due to the mounts are on all four corners instead of offset, but the offset is no big deal.
Important point is, the earlier seats are cushier.

8- adding an electric brake booster
You don't need a booster on these lightweight cars.
What can help is a softer lining and making sure your pedal ratio is right.

9- getting the progressive linkage to work
Take a look at Edelbrock's dual quad progressive linkage.
Carb linkages are easy to make and copying the Edelbrock linkage so it picks up another carb shouldn't be big deal.
Why not give straight linkage a try?
It's really cheap to make and you end up with a high quality product.
    Should cost right around $25.

If you still want progressive, take a hard look at the linkage you're running.
There are some real pieces of trash out there and some of them are downright dangerous.
Worst one I've seen so far uses a bent wire for the slider.

the list goes on and on... THEN I can add: Adding more power?

And after you fnd your Gennie roadster body, you're gonna have the beginnings of a nice drag race roadster with the leftover body.
    One roadster is not enough....

The above pic shows dual arm rests which are easily removed . . . and have been.
But, if you want armrests, there they are.
They fit and operate fine, no problems with fitting them in.

Later years of ChryCo mini-van seats may be ID'd by their single arm rest.

Pic below shows how much legroom there is even with a 4" firewall recess.
    31 body on 32 frame.
31 and 32 cockpits are very similar with just minor differences in measurement . . . except that the 32 cockpit is 2" deeper.

Eye level in both my 31 and 32 are right at the center of the windshield fwiw.
As well as the 31 has more legroom, but that's mainly due to the overly thick 32 back cushion.

Jay, on the brakes thing, she doesn't have self energizing units in the front. And looking at the pictures she looks like she might weigh 75# soaking wet (never get in trouble underestimating a woman's weight). A set of the "Lincoln" style would probably get her there if the goal is to keep the Buick drums.

    Gotcha.
    Thanks.

Several disc front braked roadsters I've been involved in, mine and others, do well without boosters.
To the point that I wonder why people want them.

I've driven a few factory cars that had power brakes that were 'too' easy.
They were a real pain in traffic.

Just as a frame of reference, the non-boosted 68-70 Mustang discs up front and the 11" Merc wagon drums in the back along with a Deuce Factory pedal and 7/8" bore M/C on my 2400# 32 have about the same feel as a non-boosted Pinto.

    Great pics of her highboy.
The builder really caught the flavor of what they're all about.

Nuff for now, out to the garage to finish the side wndow templates on mine.
It's up to 25 degrees F. here so I need a bit more protection from the elements....
