Resin addict, Sounds great building a car with your boy.

Color is a very personal thing. There is no right or wrong choice. It is more a matter of personal preferrence, and the character you want the vehicle to have.

Most of the colors you suggested have something in common. Everything you suggested is a color containing some red or yellow, except for the black. These types of shades are considered "exciting" colors, and anything in the yellow-orange-red range is also a "hot" color. This suggests that you like that kind of color best.

I have been an enthusiast since about 1958, and have gotten to the point that I am repulsed by using the obvious choices. It is almost like people want to blend in, and not be noticed.

You did leave a few possibilities open, since you did not mention orange, yellow-orange, or yellow-green, which also are in that color group.

Another thing you didn't address is using a pearl, or metallic. The Copperhead pearl would be an example of that thinking. One of the interesting things about pearls and metallics is that they make things seem to have more value, since the radiance gives the paint a little bit of a magic look.

If I were doing the job for you, I would suggest either:

the well-known "Kodak Gold", a yellow-orange shade, which would give you a look of value, and also be different enough to stand away from the crowd.

"Ultra Orange Pearl", a House of Kolors shade which will give you a bright color, look of value, and be quite different,

or "Limetime Pearl", also from House of KOlors, which would allow your boy to be a part of the decision, has a brighter green-gold look, and the pearl adds value to the color.
