Vortec uses the same flange as older heads, so any header will work. Block huggers are easy to put in, but long tubes will give you the best power. I recommend you use long tubes, if you can get them to fit. I've had Hooker headers in my truck for over 2 years without trouble. I feel like they'll last another 10 so long as I keep them painted (they're not coated).Last edited by 76GMC1500; 10-13-2004 at 02:19 PM.
