Light-weight
Just wanted to know if anybody has any experience with aluminum block small block chevy's? Starting to map out my next project. A 69 Camaro with a aluminum block 355 smallblock . I want to set up for a blower motor. I also want light -weight . A 6-71 with two Holley,s is my goal . The project is going to be spread out over a few year's. so I have the time to make everything the way I want.I would like around 450 H.P. with the blower motor and have been told I can get it without a problem. A 355 aluminum block with cast iron sleeve's is the way I want to go . Also aluminum heads. Forged crank and good rod's also .Appreciate any input.

Just wanted to know if any body has used a aluminum block 355 in a blower application. Will the main cap's withstand the boost? I have been told they are very strong and come with splayed main cap's 4 bolt also.I can get the block from Jeg's but would appreciate any input.
