Yeah, the rebuild kit is cheap, and there is likely an electric motor shop somewhere near or in a bigger city.
If you really want a mini starter, Mercruiser's starters are all mini starters now. But you will need your engine serial number to verify the right one. If you have an OMC from the 70's, then I feel sorry for you,You don't know what you've got til it's gone
