Happy Easter! We're building a 383 stroker and we are having a fitment issue with the harmonic balancer. It's all been balanced and ready to be put together but with the double roller timing chain, the balancer will not go on all the way. It seems like the end of the crank is a good 1 - 1.5 in from the front edge of the balancer and we're concerned it's not right. I'm sure with a single roller timing chain, the fitment will be right, but we really want to keep the double roller. I'll try to add a diagram of what i'm talking about to give ya'll a better idea.
