Everyone "back in the day" would toss the car in reverse, give it a foot or so then drop it into first and stuff the little pedal onto the floorboard... made for a great smoke show...

Don't tell me no one here never did that one!?!?!?

Didn't need posi... hit it with enough torque over inertia and both tires break loose and fry. Just like applying the brakes a bit when one tires loose, balance the loading and both tires will turn evenly.

My oldest son did that in my Chevy Beauville van and totally trashed the transmission. I didn't know why trans failed at the time. My son finally told me after he was married and living in a different state.

My best buddy in HS was driving his pop's new '66 Pontiac around, and learned that it would really fry the tires if got it going in reverse and then simultaneously dropped the hammer on it as he dropped it into Drive. Then the dealer called pop and told him that the tranny case was cracked front to back, and that they would be ordering him a new tranny under warranty......

Enjoy the little things in life, and you may look back one day and realize that they were really the BIG things.
