    383 stroker 89 block

I am using an 89 block 3.75 eagle crank 1 piece main seal .060 Hyp pistons...yadayada... I think it comes to a 388 CI but that does not matter.

What flywheel or is there a special flexplate I need forthis thing. I have purchased one from autozone. I have 2 other 400 flywheels and plenty of 350 flywheels. What combination do you use.

Man any help would be great. I am really lost here. I think the problem is the 1 piece main seal.
Everything else looks great. I have a lot tied up into this thing and its stuck on a flywheel problem.

If someone has what I need I will buy it from you ASAP.

    Thanks guys and gals.

The only flywheel you can use is a post 87 350. It has a small bolt pattern and a welded counterweight.

dungeon, your solution is rather simple to mend. Just go to the local parts store and buy a flex plate that fits a 89 car like yours, for about 50 bucks, then take the entire rotating assembly to a machine shop to have it balanced. The crank, the rods, the pistons, and the rings, plus the balancer and the new flex plate. He will charge you about $150 and you have a banaced motor good for 8000 rpm.
Objects in my rear view mirror are a good thing unless,.... they have red and blue lights flashing.

    Thanks guys

I forgot about this post. It should be ready by wed. I cant wait I should have it together by Friday for sure.

I have learned a lot about building a stroker. I have only wasted 20.00 on a 400 flywheel. I took the others back, and 40.00 on bearings. When i took the motor apart even though they were not harmed, I wanted new bearings so I purchased more.

    Again,

    Thanks,
