fuel presuare 6 to 9 stays that way up till it dies

put a vacum guage on it 18 on idle goes up to 20 and steady when i rev up stay that way till it hits the spot wher it starts dying goes down to zero and dies chocked mufflers??? thats what the manual for the guage says i will remove the exsaust and see what happends.
