Yeah, but what you also have to consider is the usage of the parts you buy..... Do you really need a $2,000 to $3,000 set of heads for street use???? On race cars, we always go with the expensive, American made stuff....But racing is much harder on parts then a bit of street cruising. Personally, I'm not much on buying any of the Import knock off parts, not heads, cranks, rods, pistons, nothing, because I know how much I abuse things and I try to eliminate the weak links. I also know of a lot of folks will buy Scat or Eagle stroker kits and components, but wouldn't run an import set of heads!!! Guess a lot of it depends on just how much of your hard earned $$$$$$ you're willing to part with, and how much use and abuse these parts are destined to take......

Your right in what your saying, Im using my car for summer use cruising and maybe 10-15 times down the strip each year!
Times are difficult over here at the moment,so I can only afford the cheaper options at the moment, if my engine goes bang
I dont lose so much. A lot of my mr gasket parts and others have got made in taiwan or china on them anyway!
Sounds like you do a lot of racing then, buying the best parts is totally understandable!
