I put headers on the 327 in my 67 k10 a few months ago so I had to switch to an aftermarket alternator bracket to accomadate my double hump heads. I got the one that bolts into the two first header bolts on the driver side. I wasnt crazy about it right from the begining because the angle wasnt quite right and the second bolt wasnt catching very many threads. Couldnt put a longer bolt in because of the angle of the primary. Soooo, I found this neat looking mid-mount serpentine kit in summit for around 400 bucks. The kit is for use for gm style alternator and a saginaw power steering pump. It comes with all pulleys, hardware, brackets and the two belts. And everything bolts to the water pump. The only concern is that the kit is for a long water pump. Right now im running the short water pump set up. Buying a new long water pump wouldnt be a problem, but will I have to buy a new balancer too? 400 bucks is expensive but i would gladly pay that price to ensure good allignment and reliability of my belts. Any advice would be very helpful. Thanks
