As Glenn mentioned, I'd put a lot of thought and planning into the cooling system!!!! Nothing worse then having a big, killer street engine and not being able to run it more then 10 blocks without pegging the temp gauge! It's going to take at least a double pass aluminum radiator with a very tight fitting shroud, outside air directed through the radiator, not around it, and fan(s) of sufficient quality to pull enough CFM through the radiator to cool the water. also a high quality water pump capable of maintaining the necessary pressure and volume of coolant through the engine.
I see you'll be running a manual trans, so at least you won't have all the extra heat of an automatic trans with a high stall converter creating even more heat, good plan there!!!!
Performance has to be a package deal, good engine and driveline, suspension that can handle the power, and braking to bring it back from warp speed!!!!Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!

Learning must be difficult for those who already know it all!!!!
