Nice thing about this forum is I always am learning something new. Those are some good looking heads, Tango! - here's a link to a discussion on 461-462 heads with a ton of great pictures and some additional information.
461 and 462 heads. What is differerent? - Corvette Forum
I especially like the part about how we seem to "remember" all kinds of good stuff about these fuelie heads that sounded good at the time but may not of been "quite so".. I know I get things confused a bit from time-to-time and I appreciate the knowledge base on this site (as well as a few others) to help put me back on track!
As to your "stock" manifold - could you send a picture? Might be a real keeper but a visual would help!

I also had a 327 with a Comp 270 Magnum cam a few years ago in a '29 Ford roadster with a TH350 and 2400 stall converter. Excellent performance, lopey idle, and a lot of fun to drive. I highly recommend it.

We were at a buffet meal and the wife said "That's the fourth time you've gone back for dessert, doesn't that embarrass you?" I said "No, I keep telling them it's for you."
