    phenolic spacer

Just got this spacer to try and reduce the heat transfer to the carb. I can tell the top of the spacer needs a gasket such as the one next to the spacer. what of the gasket between the spacer and the manifold? Should it be the same with the 4 holes or should it be an open style or one with a piece down the center to match the manifold? I have an edelbrock performer manifold.
    Thanks,
    Paul

by the way...why 2 gaskets between the spacer and carb?

Not to disagree with Pat - but I'd use two gaskets total - one on each side of the phenolic block.

nope your not two gaskets one four hole at carb . atop of spacer one gasket open hole under spacer to intake. think of the spacer as the meat for a sandwich and the two gaskets two pieces of bread do not ask me were the moyonnaise gets used

Got my phenolic spacer and gaskets...will complete the install tomorrow. Hopefully this phenolic spacer will cure the hot hard start issue.
