Install a 1/2" X3/8" bolt there. That hole is used to hold the fuel pump rod,used with a longer bolt during assembly.Brian

I just fold a pic of the front of a bare block where it looked like that hole went strait through to the fuel pump rod lol. I have some of the 3/8 plugs that go in the rear of the block above the cam shaft. I'll try them tomorrow. Thanks Brian (my names Brian too, WTH! lol)
