With all this talk about 305s lately, and their usefullness as a hotrod motor it got me thinkin. The 1st gen z-28s ran 302s. In a book that I have it says that they were rated at 280hp but were a lot closer to 400 and could beat a 396ss by almost a full second in the quater. The 302 consisted of a 327 block and a longthrow 283 crank and camel hump corvette heads. So I'm thinkin a 350 block and a 305 crank would just be a bigger version. Ideally you have the 350 displacement and a smaller lighter crank would equal a high revin, fuel effecient (less rotating mass) hot rod motor? I am no motor guru and I honestly don't have a clue if this combo would be any good but it makes sense to me. So if any of you have tried this or just maybe know what your talkin about lets hear your two cents. And all you guys who like to sound like you know what your talking about can answer too (like you weren't going to anyway)
