    first time engine build

     



    looking for a little adivce on building up the 305 i have for ym 78 c10. it will be my first time touching the internals of a negine in almost 4 years. if anyone can give me advice on making a power house out of this 305 it would be greatly appreciated.

    I also have a 305 chev engine that would need a complete overhaul
    to use again.. Personally I think I will carry it to the junk yard next
    time I get a load of scrap iron..Had a 305 in a Trans Am once and did
    not think much of it..You could probably buy a good running 350 for
    the same price that you would spend on rebuilding the 305, and you
    would have a better engine...I think the headson a 305 are no good,
    so you most definitely would want to change them out if you stay with
    that engine. I'm sure the pros can give you better advice than myself,
    this is just me thinking.
