    building 383 sbc

     



    I am building a 383 sbc (010) block bored .030 with speed pro powerforged flat top pistons with 2 reliefs 11.5 or 12.1 cr .039 felpro head gaskets, eagle 3.75 crankshaft with eagle 5.7 rods, arp rod bolts, balance rotating assembly, ZZ4 GM performance 210cc aluminum heads 2.02 int. 1.60 exh. 58cc chambers, comp cam hyd. 244 244 @ .50 510 510 lift 108 lobe center, crane 1.5 roller rocker arms, crane 1.565 double springs, 7/16 screw in studs and 3/8 guide plates, crane stud girdles, double roller timing chain, world performance high rise single plane intake, holley 750 duel feed carburtor, what HEI distributor to run and what advance should be used, how much hp and torque will this make, thanks Bill

    Would make 500 hp with some better heads. I figured your static compression ratio at 11.18:1, so the motor may or may not run on pump gas without detonation, even with the aluminum heads and long cam, depending on the grade of fuel available to you.
