    slow crank

Hey all, i have a 81 camaro with a 4brrl (rochester q-jet) 305 LG-4 (i know, i know, junk lol). But i went to start it yesterday and the bat was dead. I used a fully charged B&D jumper pack (which worked on it before when the bat was dead) but now the motor isnt cranking enough (way to slow), could it be my starter going? IDK whats up, it worked before to crank it just fine?

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks
    Joe

Make sure everything is turned off. Have the battery condition checked. Check all your connections. At Battery/Starter/Grounds.

One month is on the very tip of doing this. It also depends on outside temp for those days of sitting. As temps get colder, you must start it once a week even with a new battery.
I'm usually good for starting it every week but i was busy and thought the jumper pack would help. Would it not crank enough with the pack because it's too cold? It's only 13 degrees C outside.

Might be time to get a Battery Tender or a solar trickle charger to keep the battery topped up.
