Reverse flow cooling. Does it really matter?

My Chevy has a reverse flow cooling system. But when I get this build completed it will have the older normal flow system in it.
Does it really matter which way the flow goes?
Do I need to be thinking about the radiator or heater core when I change this system over? Other than a normal flushing of the cooling system?
Am I missing something that could be damaging to my new motor down the road?

there are several differances with the gm LT engines besides the reverse flow---

You cannot mix and match parts---ignition, water pump, cylinder heads and intake are all specific to the LT family

Rest of the story????got about 10 or 12 (maybe 15 ) LT engines in the shop now---doing mostly 383, ( some 396) about half of them get billet 4 angled bolt main caps--

crank, rods , pistons (complete rotating assy) are the same as the other chevys, but block, intake, cyl heads, water pump. ignition are different

Well Jerry, looks like you have plenty of work on hand..Are you doing
any racing? I'm going to Beach Bend, Bowling Green, Ky on Saturday
which is about 45 minutes from home. I think they are having a 3 day
    event there starting Friday.

We are not actively racing as have been too busy keeping up with customer work--have been shipping stuff to all over the globe( not exactly the stuff I would like to ship to some locations)

We are a class sponser for the LTx shoot out coming up next month down at BG but I'll be on a road trip for all of Sept out west----
