Thanks for your reply. I dont know the duration of that cam, but i will try and get in touch with the guy i bought it from and see if he can give me more details. What if I just put a set of stock heads on there with a 4 barrell intake and carb? Here is a little info i found by looking up the part # on the piston....the part # is L2304. (There's not much info on the web about these pistons, except that they are a good, forged piston and have a .100" dome.

If you figure that the dome is worth 7-10cc (negative when you figure the CR), with a .039" gasket your CR will be approximately:

    10.25-10.5 with 72cc heads
    11.25-11.5 with 64cc heads

    350ci Performance Piston, .000'' Overbore
    Piston Dia.: 4.000''
    Piston Top: 2.4cc Dome
    Press Pin
    Comp Ratio: 11.26:1 w/58cc Head, 9.19:1 w/76cc Head
    Ring Grooves: 5/64'', 5/64'', 3/16''

Also I didnt mention that the block is bored out to .060 over, im sure that will make a difference too. How can I configure deck height and compression height?

Here is the link to Summit's website for your pistons:

    www.summitracing.com/parts/TRW-L2304F30/

The number on those pistons are Speed-Pro (TRW) not JE. The domes are not extreme so you could easily use them with heads which have 72 cc or 76 cc chambers. Stock heads? No. I would avoid stock heads because by the time you have a pair of the old technology heads rebuilt, you will have nearly as much in them as a new set of heads with contemporary chamber design. Since you are on a budget, I would advise you to save your money for a good set of after market heads like Iron Eagles or aluminum heads. Vortecs are less expensive, but the chambers are too small for your domed pistons. You can also shop around on Craig's List or Ebay for a good set of used heads that have had minimal use.
