The heads will bolt right on. That stayed the same on all the small blocks until the Gen III LS engines came out, with the exception of the LT1. Only the intake pattern on the heads changed through the years. Use an old style intake to match the heads and it'll all be good.

Thanks alot man! i had heard likewise, i just wanted to hear some confirmation. I'm new the whole engine building/chevy smallblock thing. I'm not plannin on gettin much more that 300-325 hp out of it. i think what im gonna do, is practice porting on a scrap head or two, then port the ones im gonna use. after a while driving it like that, ill save up and slap some new vortex heads from jegs on there. i dont wanna spend tons on the motor because im gonna have to buy a tranny/driveshaft/rearend as well to make this little conversion successful.

I'm sure glad i know how to weld! haha

Hi Ray, Sounds like you're the guy to ask this question.
I'm new to the Chevy SB's. I'm building a kit car which uses a CSB conversion. The casting number on the block indicates it's '72 350. The casting numbers on my heads indcate they are from the '67 327.

Will they work together?
