    Yeah, so it's really just pride vs. price here....

    I can build an awesome motor with a salvaged non-cash4clunkers block lol, but I can also build a WAY AWESOME motor for a little more $$$ and have new parts.

    I think the convenience/laziness of the SHP block outweighs the extra $$$....even before considering Splayed 4-bolt, blind holes, and NEW castings with a Bad@$$ brand name on the side. ??? Not to mention Roller Lifter towers for the spider, (saves a couple hundred bucks when selecting valve train parts).
