MSD 6AL questions
Looking for a new MSD box, I see they have the 6AL in both Digital and Analog.... Anybody have some thoughts on which is better with a carb engine running a crank trigger ignition????Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!

The 6420 (6AL) is the analog unit and is a good unit to run on the carbed setup.
The 6520 (Digital-6) has extra bells and whistles. You'll see no performance or reliability difference between the two on your setup. What if the "Hokey Pokey" is what it's really all about?

I've always had better reliability from the Mallory HyFire units, and, their 6AL has an adjustable rev limiter with no chips required.
Also, they're usually a little cheaper!!

The digital(6AL-2) unit has a higher spark output and they draw less current than the analog(6AL) unit. That said, I run the analog box and never had any issues....Our race team page
