A few downsides not mechanical related....
one, everyone with a blower a pro charger and a turbo is going to want to race and beat you.
two, its like a calling card for the law, they hear that whine and think,he has been speeding, racing, driving like a wild man,so they hassel you.
Everyone is going to ask if you have a blower/charger/turbo and you will have to say no and watch them walk away or look disappointed, which makes you feel not so good.
You will be constantly exsplaining what that sound is to people who ride with you, those who dont know will ask how much power that gives you and the answer is none, the people who know about engines will snicker when you tell them.
After 5 to 10 thousand miles all the above will get old ,including the whine.
I will put it this way,it`s like going bass fishing with 12lb test line and wanting to relax and have fun,but all you keep getting is sharks that break your line and you cant catch reel them in. :D

Trie to send a message earlier so will try again, I run a 23T on the street 350 complete stock motor, cast pistons 4 bolt main and cast crank with 9-1 compression. I have had no problems with the motor whatsoever. I do keep the rpms below 5000. The blower is a 6-71 with two 525 cfm Demon's. I have about 6000 miles on it so far. A friend of mine ran a 6-71 on the street in a with the same motor for 26 years and never had any problems. Hope this helps
