The 275-300HP estimate is probably close. The Holley DP is a great carb, but 700cfm is probably too much for 355.

The 1894 Camaro weighs about 3200 pounds. With fuel and driver figure about 3500 pounds. To run a 14.3 at 100mph would need 250-275 horsepower, which would be "do-able", even from the 305 with the Vortec heads and a good intake/cam combo. I would question the 700cfm on the 305 - certainly too much carb and I would imagine that bogged a bit until about 3000 RPM.
