    i still use flat cams in some engines and long block them if i know they will get broke in right. but i have seen more then one wipe over the years. the last two engine in my shop wipe a flat lifter cam and i rebuilt them and went roller. i will not build a bbc with one in it. the kits are not that bad over the cost of picking junk out of the piston skrits and rebuilding the engine one more time i use strat wt oil to break the rings
