i was thinking you were asking any thoughts on light weight mass parts at a far price. not what i was thinking for the allround engine cid.my thinking is if you want a big sbc then it a good way to go but you can build a 512 or 496 alum head engine for less bang for the buck and not that much weight or the ls1 engine other then the add on to make it run with a dist and carb if that what you want if you can live with the looks of the ls1 deal with the oil pan and the missing head bolts over all a good engine. if you have guys that want the 427 ?around my parts? i would say not many there is still some guys building 327 and 350 with old out dated heads GM heads . the sbc is still very cheap to build as a mild engine to move some thing and small in size . thats a big step up for the back yard sbc guy . i sure your looking to sell over all the usa more then in your area .i could not say if it would take off as a good seller if your asking that
