Power steering bracket issues
I have a later style 350 block (later meaning late 70's early 80's 2 piece rear main) with double hump heads on it. The block is not tapped on the lower driver side for the old saginaw style PS pumps. I have always run a long water pump on it and used March brackets...everything worked fine.
So now I am squeezing this motor into a different vehicle with a much smaller engine compartment. I have to use a short water pump and the older saginaw PS pump. The only brackets I can find bolt to the block on the passenger side down by the timing chain cover.
My question is..does anyone know of a PS bracket that does not bolt to the block and works with a short pump?
