    OK, Gen I roller block bored 0.040", 357 CID. Decks adjusted for 9.011" block deck height. Keith Black hyper pistons #KB120, 7cc crown, 1.561" compression height, 5/64ths rings. 0.010" piston deck height with 9.011" block deck height. Victor Reinz #5746 Nitroseal Head Gasket, 0.025" X 4.100". 10.30:1 static compression ratio with 64cc heads, 0.035" squish.

    Sportsman II heads, 2.02"/1.60", 64cc chambers with CompCams #986 valve springs or equivalent rate springs from another mfg. Seat load 132# @ 1.750". 322#/in rate. 300# over the nose on the exhaust lobe with this cam.

    CompCams hydraulic roller, part #08-432-8, grind #XR282HR, 282/288, 230/236, 0.510"/0.520", 110 LSA, installed straight up.

    High-rise dual-plane intake manifold with 750 carb, VS or Double Pumper. Edelbrock RPM, RPM Air Gap, Weiand Stealth, Stealth Air Strike, etc.

    1 3/4" long-tube, equal-length headers.

    I don't particularly like these heads. If you use enough cam to make the hp, it takes away from torque at the bottom. I like to see 400 ft/lbs @ 2000 rpm's for a good, stout street motor. These heads require 3100 rpm's to make 400 with this particular cam and I couldn't get there with any other cam that I tested on the sim. Went through 8 different cams on this combination before settling on this one. Should be used with a 3000 stall converter though, for best results.

    I guess I've been ruined by seeing results using Airflow Research aluminum heads. This same combo with AFR 190 heads makes 522/490. Of course, the AFR's wouldn't make 400 @ 2000 either, not with this cam.
