    350 head change

I have a 73 chevy c-10 350, with 64,000 original miles on it. i'd like to put a set of heads with smaller chambers to up my compression a bit. i'm not positive, but i'm guessing the heads on it are 72 or 74cc. Can anybody tell me if the higher compression will cause the rings to leak, or will it be able to handle it. Any input would be appreciated

yeah, i kinda figured, i just figured i'd get a different opinion. I'd rather not chance it being that i really don't want to bother with all that right now, maybe sometime this summer. It's nothing speacial anyway, just hoping for a little bit better mileage. i'm sure a smaller carb will help some too, which i probably will get shortly.
    appreciate the help.
