I have been on all the chevy sites and trying to identify my motor with the numbers on the block and im going crazy. I was told it is a 305 but i just want to make sure so i can get the proper specs on it.
back of the motor drivers side 5.7 Lt LGI
back left driver side OF165
back passenger side 10243880
underneath left freeze plug H39
underneath right freeze plug 378
does anyone have any ideas?????????

The 5.7 is a 350 cubic in. 305 would be 5.0. There is a machined pad on the front of the block just below the passenger side head. There will be some numbers and a two or three letter engine code stamped at this location. Those numbers and letters will help to identify the engine.
