I want to build a roller motor without using retro-fit lifters so I need to go looking for a block......So
What year did GM start using roller lifters in there sb 350?

Solid or hydraulic rollers??? Anyway, whichever type you are using there are retro-fit kits to fit the old blocks, too. Doesn't really matter which vintage block you use as long as you get the correct pieces to go in it.....

Well, I know I can go with a retro-fit setup for an older block. I guess the question is do either the LT or LS blocks use roller lifters without the link bar?
I know a couple people that had them break in a gen1 block. Not sure I want to go down that road....
