    Thumbs up 305tpi

Ho Ho Room - Have a 85' Iroc-Z -305 TPI in a 46' Ford 2dr. Sedan - 700R4, etc. - project car not finished - my question is, is the 305 TPI worth putting money into or should I just go for a new crate moter? I'm not looking for a rocket ship but want to boost HP to at least 300 from orig. 230 - and if so what direction should I take as far as cam, heads, bore, etc.? Many thanks for any advice

Save you a lot of time. The 305 has no power, cant breathe an has a weak low end. so, in summary, NO.
    Right engine, Wrong Wheels

    305

most ppl dont like the 305 but i like them, they're damn good motors and extremely reliable, plus you have TPI (tuned port injection) that's alot right there, i'd say go with an edelbrock performer package, www.edelbrock.com you can order all the shit from www.summitracing.com for i'd say about 800 bucks, you'll be makin real nice hp and tourque. and you'll have no problem lighten them tires on fire go with the 305 they're a very uncommon engine and great in my opinion.

    p.s. for a bore...go with .30 over
