    Arrow 57 chevrolet radiator

My 57 210/350 runs a little hot when I use my vintage air..my current radiator is brass and looking to up grade to a aluminum ...I saw some on ebay 2 row..1 inch tubes for about 300..but also seen some with the same size tubes for 500..all are welded no epoxy..question has anyone changed over brass to aluminum and can you see a difference...any help would be appreciated

    thanks

We've used aluminum in the last 4 cars and I think I am going to stick with aluminum from now on. I think they do dissipate heat a little better than copper or brass ones, in fact I am having trouble getting my T up to the correct temperature and almost never run the electric fan.

I also have one in my Jeep that has a 5.0 Ford in it. Because of space limitations (height) I had to go with a smaller one that I wanted, but it still does fine, even here in Florida. My '27 has a custom made one by the brassworks in California, and it never quite kept the temp down like the aluminum ones have done.

A big part of it is a full shroud and a good electric or mechanical fan, regardless of the type of radiator being used.

they say the alum rad with the alum/epoxy core works like a heat sink and is hard to fix if leaks at the core. they say. the same thing about copper brass lead rad with the lead working like a heat slink to. the they would be becool. there core is all alum and not set in epoxy .becool do make a kit for the 55/57 and there is other makers to .alum is nice has the look .but i have cooled things with copper brass that even the becool guys would have a hard time with
