302's are good engines, one of the best Ford ever made!!! Lots of them 5.0 cars running some strong numbers....
Now if chebbie had kept theirs, and designed a car around the engine.......
only two things on small inch engines
1. gotta keep the rev$ up
2. gotta keep the weight down
It's all about horsepower to weight. When you run a ton and a half or more sled, takes a big inch high torque monster... If you can get the weight down to 2500 and less, the little engine works fine......Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!

Btw, you don't have to call me Mr. 250 mph unless I should in fact achieve that goal. As of now it's still just a goal I'm working towards.... Not dreaming or scheming and looking up part numbers, but an actual project in progress.....Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!
