crankcase pressure relief
Hey guys, I am building a high hp/high torque sbc stroked to 383 cu in. I want to run without any breathers or pvc valves in my valve covers. I would rather not run a vacuum pump. I read in these pages about running pvc valves in the intake manifold. I did a couple of searches but no luck. Has anyone had success with this concept?
Thanks for any info.

You don't want to plug into any runners or the plenum which are under a vacuum most times.
The PCV pulls crankcase air from the valley.
You'll probably need a baffle of some sort to keep from sucking the good oil out.
And a filtered air supply for air make-up into the valley.
Do a search for PCV etc.
It was covered in some depth within the last six months.Last edited by C9x; 01-17-2008 at 01:33 PM.

Seems to me I remember building an engine or two which had a PCV in the intake manifold tray. Pontiac?.
Education is expensive. Keep that in mind, and you'll never be terribly upset when a project goes awry.
