I am wondering if anyone has delt with putting late ninetys vortec 305's in older cars? It's a 98 305 going in to a 72 El Camino, didn't come with a fuel pump. My old fuel pump rod doesn't fit up to the cam, the hole is tapered. Anybody have any experiance in how to fix? Probably electric but I would sure love to stay mechanical. Any help would be appreciated, Thanks.
