Intake and intake to head bolt patterns are the same, but they go in at a different angle on newer engines. The "cheap" fix is just to drill the 4 holes (the ones around the base of the injection/carb unit) a bit bigger and use the washers as you normally would. Not a perfect solution but it is working on BUNCHES of engines I'm sure and it doesn't show. Where are you finding them for cheap anyway?? I need one for my 98 1500. Its got a 200k 305 in it and I want to replace with a 350. Any help?? I can/would rebuild it so any leads on a cheap rebuilder would be great. Would even be willing to trade some custom paint work...
