All very true.
About 15 years ago I had a bunch of metalurgy work done on a couple sets of "pink" rods.
Guess what?
They where very close to a several sets of heavy truck rods I had.
Every "run" of rods they make are a little different.
I am not going to say all rods are the same and they just put a "splash" of pink on them and send them out the door.
