I am thinking of going the 383 route this winter along with getting into some "beercan" heads. I have the 462 heads now, 2.02-1.70's. I have been looking at the Patriot aluminum heads. I can get a bare pair fairly cheap and then put all my hardware onto those, then sell my 462's. Will going to the aluminum heads and stepping up to the 383 build gonna be THAT much of a drastic change for me? Just wondering. It shouldn't be that expensive. I think the block radiusing, new pistons/rods and crank, and thats it(well.. gaskets). Right?
