    Unhappy Mass Air Flow Meter

I have a '89 350 Tune Port and am having problems with the engine sputtering with I just feather the throttle at any speed. It feels like the engine is not getting gas for just a split second and then kicks back in and then does it again and again until I give it more gas or let off completely.
I have been told that it might be the Mass Air Flow meter or even the Throttle Position censor.
It happens more when the weather is hot, always happens at least once a day.
    Any thoughts???

'89 Tuned port would have a vane type mass air flow sensor and not a hot wire sensor, might be sticky, they can be cleaned
You don't know what you've got til it's gone

It is a MAF like the 5th picture on the left of the site you showed me.
It is easy to remove and I will visually look to see if there is any obstuctions or clogged in any way.
The TPS (throttle position sensor) is where?
    Thanks for the hints.

if you have a multimeter you can test your tps.... check for ohms and pin the multimeter between the middle wire and the bottom wire, slowly sweep the throttle, if theres a dead spot then you know that there is a worn spot inside the TPS and its time to replace it....
just because your car is faster, doesn't mean i cant outdrive you... give me a curvy mountain road and i'll beat you any day
