chevy cylinder head question
A friend of mine has a set of heads that he said came on a corvette. The casting # is 3979370. I have gone to a corvette site and can,t find them listed. I then went to MorTec and they didn,t have them listed. Can anyone help? I need to know what engine year combo they were offerd on. Thanks to anyone with info.

It could have been a 3 i will check out tomorrow. The 3973370 heads are the only ones i could find also. These heads have been ported and polished and he wanted to trade some parts so i was trying to see if they were something special or just like other heads. Thanks and if anyone knows of heads with these #s please let me know. again the # looked like 3979370 could have been the light or maybe i just don,t see good anymore must have been poor light

Ok guys they are the 3370 heads. Thanks to everyone that responded.I just wonder what happened to GOVERNMENT of the people by the people for the people?

well I decided to do another mod to gain max travel of bars past the intended travel points just for that peace of mind. 1/8 inch is to close so now I'll have 1/2" or better. I cut a 3/16" wall...
