    350 questions ??

Ok so i'm about to buy a 350 block, fresh out of the machine shop, 30 over. Only 2 bolt main. Coming with good rods, forged pistons with 4 valve reliefs that should give me 9.73:1 compression ratio with my Vortec heads, give or take. No cam, but a local machine shop says they have refurbished ones ont he shelf, so i'll probably buy one of these.

Now for a cam, I am thinking this:

And with the suggestions it gives, retainers, pushrods and these sprigs.

I know, ebay, car parts, not so good for car parts sometimes, but hes got almost 7000 sales, 99.8% positive feedback.

Thatwill take care of all of the valvetrain for my vortecs plus finish up all of my shortblock with the exception of an oil pan.
Which leaves just the intake, carb, timing chain, and thats it??

First time im trying to get an engine together, never even pulled one out of a car, so does this stuff look decent? Not going to be a huge powerhouse, based on very very similiar builds with a comp cams 268 cam, and only 8.75:1 compression that made 390/426 i'd like 400/440 or so out of this ideally. But is there something else im going to need to buy that i'm missing?

Oh I need rockers, lol. Duh, any suggestions on cheapish roller rockers? 1.6 that I should use?

    Thanks everyone

    Talking My 2 cents

I would try some Jegs brand roller rockers. They aren't very expensive and they appear to be good quality. I plan on trying them on my next engine build. Let us know how it turns out.

In my opinion, if you're planning to buy cam and lifters off ebay, then you should call up Summit and order these at the same time. You're gonna need 'em to clean the shrapnel out of the galleries.
