In my opinion, possibly, but not for long.
With aluminum heads, a VERY tight squish of 0.030" to 0.035", very modest ignition timing, polished and totally de-burred combustion chambers, cold plugs, no EGR or PCV, 160 thermostat and possibly water injection, you might squeak it by. Like I said, that's my opinion. Other's opinions may vary.PLANET EARTH, INSANE ASYLUM FOR THE UNIVERSE.

...don't know if this helps or not but my 413 small block Chev w/ aluminum 76 CC heads, 10 to 1 compression, flat top pistons {don't know the squilsh}, a 230/236 @ .50" cam w/ .523 lift, 36 degrees total timing pings REALLY bad on regular. On supreme it doesn't ping..... Bill

We do still have another set of dish pistons to get the compresion to 10.3 to 10.5, will the cam work with that?

It would be nice if this up and down crap would cease.
