I want to swap in a better Power Plant, and was thinking about the 383 Stroker Motor due to the Torque it makes at Freeway speeds (which is where I do all of my towing). And If I stay Vortech can I just get a Block and a set of Heads for a 350, and just swap in the rotating assembly and have it work right? If you keep l your computer you will be very limited on camshaft profiles.
Also keep in mind with 70+ more cubes you will burn more fuel so make sure your fuel injection unit can handle it.

I have done one on computer and all I have to do is reprogram the computer and it will hurt the gas mileage alittle but, it will have lot of torque. I got 19 MPG on my 1994 GMC with a 383 in it on TBI setups.
